The Sony a1 is a beast of a camera that features a stacked sensor with an incredibly fast read-out. I've been fortunate enough to have my hands on the Sony a1 for a little while. I have to say, it's mighty impressive.

However, it seems as though the Sony stacked sensor in the a1 is just the start of some crazy new sensor tech. In fact, a new patent from Sony shows us a new sensor that makes the silicon in the Sony a1 look like a toy. We've got some juicy deets about this possible new sensor after the break. .
