Viltrox will launch two new E-mount lenses in August. They will be from the “AIR” compact autofocus lens series. Currently Viltrox already offers the 20mm f/2.8 AF FE lens. Chinese lens maker Viltrox is attempting to join the L-Mount Alliance, which would pave the way for the company's lenses to work on full-frame Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma cameras. [Read More]
Prime lenses, especially those with a bright aperture, are a must for photographers. For instance, a 24mm lens can be a great tool for street and architecture photography, while an 85mm can do wonders with portraits and travel.
Just a handful of weeks ago, we reported on the announcements of four Canon RF mount lenses from Sigma and an ultrawide RF mount lens from Tamron. Exciting as it was to see the RF mount being opened up to third-party lens manufacturers, all these lenses are meant for APS-C Canon RF mirrorless cameras.
Since the day the RF mount was announced back in 2018, there have been calls for third-party lenses makers such as SIGMA to move their goods to the new mount from Canon.
