At its 2020 X Summit in London earlier this week, Fujifilm announced it’s working on adding a 400 Megapixel ‘pixel shift’ mode for its GFX 100 medium format mirrorless camera system. The impending feature was teased as Fujifilm engineers talked about adding new functionality to its GFX 100 (around the 39:30 mark in the above video).

Aside from the aforementioned details, no other information was given, as Fujifilm engineers progressed through the 2020 X Summit. So, until Fujifilm reveals more information, it’s just a matter of waiting to see how long it is until the new functionality finds its way to the company’s 100MP medium format mirrorless camera.
