There has been recent talk around the web about Canon EOS R1 specifications, and we have been working to verify the information before posting them. It turns out, the specifications are “pretty close to reality” according to a solid source.
Most of the pertinent information about the Canon EOS R100 has now leaked. With it, we get the smallest and lightest mirrorless camera in the EOS R lineup. It looks like a rebadged EOS M50 Mark II.
We thought that the Canon EOS R100 was coming later in Q4, but it looks like we're going to see it much sooner. We expect a lot of similarities with the EOS R50 as far as the hardware inside the camera, but a lot of features omitted from the final design.
We first broke the story earlier this month that Canon was planning a major firmware update for the Canon EOS R5 this year. One of the likely features coming to the Canon EOS R5 is “pixel-shift”.
Digicame-info has posted specifications for the upcoming Canon EOS R8. We think we're going to see a few surprises in this camera body when it is announced alongside the Canon EOS R50 next week.
It looks like the rumors over the last few months are coming to fruition shortly. Canon will announce two camera bodies very soon alongside the recently uncovered Canon RF 24-50mm f/4. 5-6. 3 IS STM.
