Fujifilm Japan has published a notice on its website informing consumers that there could be forthcoming shortages of its three remaining 120 format color reversal slide film stocks. According to the notice, first spotted by Kosmo Foto and embedded below, FujiChrome Velvia 50, Velvia 100 and Provia 100F in 120 format could see shortages as a result of issues procuring sufficient amounts of raw materials used to create the film. dpreview.com »

Fujifilm has discontinued the Pro 400H film in both 35mm and 120 formats, citing the challenges associated with producing this particularly unique film. Fujifilm Japan has issued an advisory (Japanese) warning customers that counterfeit 35mm film featuring the ‘Fujifilm’ brand has been found on the market. We still don’t know if Fujifilm will bring the Eterna Film Simulation to the other X-Trans III based cameras. There has been some hinting that the X-T2 at the very least may get it, but for now, there is no official confirmation that any other cameras will be getting it. thephoblographer.com »

We’ve been covering the increasing number of Instax emulsions from Fujifilm with a combination of caution and excitement. On one hand, we definitely don’t mind seeing new films such as the Instax Mini Monochrome which was released in September, but on the other hand, we never want to see Instax Velvia replace 135 or 120 Velvia. digitalrev.com »
