A high-end Canon EOS R system camera that sits above the current EOS RP and EOS R cameras is under consideration, according to Canon representatives.
Speaking to Canon UK's David Parry, Photography Blog was told that the possible new full-frame mirrorless camera for professionals will have dual card slots and in-body image stabilisation, two features that the current range-topping EOS R model (pictured) does not offer, and which have been very much in-demand from would-be owners.
Canon apparently sold 44% mirrorless and 56% DSLR cameras between Jan-Aug 2019, so they're very much committed to both systems.
They also have a continued focus on fleshing out their RF lens range as quickly as possible, although they declined to provide an updated RF lens roadmap when we enquired about one.
Canon are also still focused on EF and EF-M mounts as well as their newest RF mount.
