Canon have announced the development of the new EOS R5 flagship mirrorless camera, which offers cinematic-quality 8K movie recording, high-speed 20fps electronic / 12fps mechanical burst shooting, unparalleled in-body image stabilisation which works in combination with the lens stabilisation system, dual memory card slots, and support for the new image.

The EOS R5 will also have a fully articulating LCD screen and a thumb-operated AF joystick, rather than the divisive MFn bar used on the EOS R.

A preview of the EOS R5 will be on display at the 2020 WPPI Show (February 25-27) in Las Vegas.
