Is the Nikon Z9s Coming Soon with 33MP and 60fps?

In 2024, the world will watch as the Olympics converge on Paris, France. It'll fascinating to watch amidst the protests and all that have been happening there for quite a while now. Photographers will be using Canon, Nikon, and Sony gear to document it all and tell stories as they unravel.

We've heard a lot about Canon and Sony -- but Nikon has been very quiet. The company, which launched its very good Z9, has been steadily improving it with lots of firmware. Then they delivered the smaller version, the Nikon z8. But isn't it time that they deliver something on a much higher end? Perhaps the Nikon z9s could be on the way. .

Dear Nikon: You Really Need to Innovate Your Cameras and Lenses

I've been in this industry long enough to remember all the times where Nikon users would push their bias into the face of every other photographer. At those times, they rightfully should have. Does anyone remember the Nikon D300 and the fantastic photos it shot of President Obama during his early years? Or the Nikon D700 and the class-leading high ISO output that it had? Or what about the various more top-end cameras like the D4, the D800, etc. thephoblographer.com »

Opinion: Going Back to Canon and Nikon Feels Like a Toxic Relationship

Canon and Nikon are absolutely doing what they can to win back customers after slowly losing ground to both Sony and Fujifilm over the years. While the latter two have been doing all that they can to gain market share and continue to push forward, we can say with absolute certainty that Canon and Nikon have done little to nothing to give customers what they want and to adapt with the times. thephoblographer.com »

Nikon Director of Development: 'If Nikon will go mirrorless, it must be full-frame'

Photo by Joseph Chan We've known for some time now that Nikon is working on a mirrorless camera—in fact, Nikon confirmed this to DPReview directly. But one question has remained tantalizingly unanswered: will it be a full-frame system, or simply an evolution of the old 1-inch Nikon 1 system? The answer, at least according to one high-level Nikon director, seems to be what we were all hoping for. dpreview.com »
