We Played with the New Canon RF 100-500mm Lens! How Is It?

We’re reviewing the Canon RF 100-500mm f4. 5-7. 1 L IS USM and still trying to figure out who it’s for. It’s an L lens, so Canon will try to target it at the professional photographer. But we’re also sure that the hobbyist is one of the passionate photographers who will pick it up.

We’ve been using it thus far for birding and a few other things. It’s a difficult lens to test in the pandemic, but when coupled with the Canon EOS R5 it’s a total beast! Of course, it also has gorgeous image quality. We’re going to briefly go through this lens on the next episode of Pro Camera Reviews. And most of all, we’re going to talk about what makes it special. .
